Suzanne Lyon is a seasoned consultant specializing in strategic communications, community engagement, public policy, and Indigenous policy reform since October 2021. Currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Parent Involvement Committee for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, Lyon plays a key role in advising on family engagement strategies within the education system. Previously, Lyon held significant positions in government, including Senior Advisor at Indigenous Services Canada and Deputy Director at the Department of National Defence, focusing on treaties and reconciliation. With a robust background in policy development, stakeholder relations, and communications across various government sectors, Lyon's extensive experience also includes managing policy initiatives for the Ontario Liberal Party during the Sam Bhalesar campaign. Lyon earned a BA in Linguistics from McGill University between 1983 and 1986.
