Mikko Väisänen

Mikko Väisänen is currently the CFO at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, a position held since August 2021. Prior to this role, Mikko served as Finance Manager at Synthomer Finland Oy from January 2016 to July 2021, where responsibilities included managing finance, HR, and IT. Additionally, Mikko worked as a Controller at Primetals Oy, focusing on monthly financial statements and cash management, and as a Senior Consultant at Invenco Oy, implementing financial solutions for various clients. Mikko's career also includes a role as System Manager for Reporting and Planning Solutions at Polar Electro Oy, where development of reporting tools was a key focus. Mikko holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Oulu and completed the Aalto CFO program in 2023.
