Son L.

Son L. has a strong background in quantitative research and development, particularly in the insurance and reinsurance industries. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Quantitative Researcher at AXA Advisors. In 2016, they joined Argo Group as a Machine Learning Quant and later became the Head Quant Engineer, where they managed multiple projects focused on developing prediction systems and analytical platforms. Son L. also designed and oversaw the development of a reinsurance mortgage portfolio pricing engine using machine learning techniques. In 2020, they became the CTO at Kettle, a company that combines advanced deep learning technologies and high-quality data to estimate catastrophe risk and provide reinsurance and insurance to at-risk entities.
