Chen Wang

Chen Wang is a highly skilled FPGA engineer with extensive experience in digital lidar design and precision motion control systems. Currently serving as a Staff FPGA Engineer at Ouster since May 2021, Chen Wang focuses on the development of DF solid-state lidar and OS spinning lidar technologies. Prior to Ouster, Chen Wang worked at KLA from October 2017 to May 2021 as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, leading the full-cycle development of FPGA subsystems. Earlier experience includes an internship at The MathWorks, where Chen Wang developed the first prototype of an FPGA Data Capture IP for the HDL Verifier™ toolbox. Chen Wang holds a Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and advanced degrees, including a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Rochester, as well as a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology.
