Mei Wang began their work experience in 2010 as a Designer Assistant at Buck Mason. Mei went on to become a Menswear Designer and then a Senior Designer at the same company. In 2013, they became the Men's Design Director at Buck Mason, where they played a vital role in bringing the brand's minimal style and collection to market. Mei also worked closely with the founders to establish strong production partnerships. In 2017, Mei Wang joined Outerknown as the Director of Design, where they have been responsible for leading the creative aspects of both the Men's and Women's divisions. Mei has designed and directed the launch of sustainable denim programs, earning recognition for the Men's denim program as the best on the market.
Mei Wang attended Parsons School of Design - The New School from 2008 to 2010. During this time, they studied Apparel Design and Design, but it is unclear whether they obtained a degree.
