Karen Schmidt, founder of Change Punk®, has extensive experience in organizational development and management consulting. Since August 2012, Karen has led Change Punk, which emphasizes a radically honest approach to business practices. In January 2023, Karen began working with The White Rabbit, advocating for straightforward examination of management issues. As co-founder of Over the Fence, established in 2013, Karen promotes enhanced collaboration and innovation. Prior roles include facilitating transformation at Wargitsch & Comp. AG, lecturing on International Project Management at The Berlin School of Economics and Law, and serving as a Senior Management Consultant for the European Training Foundation. Karen’s background also includes a decade at IMC, leading the International Public Sector unit, and owning a consultancy focused on marketing and e-learning. Karen Schmidt holds a Master's degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from Technische Universität Dresden.

Founded in 2013 by Karen Schmidt & Frank Habermann, “Over the Fence” is an international research center and community. We re-think projects and decision-making! We create Creative Commons thinking tools for people in projects and organizations. Conceived and created with love and passion in Berlin and in the world. We connect deep expertise in leadership and management with stories, wisdom, and modes of thought from other disciplines like sports, psychology, design, theatre and the arts. We provide valuable knowledge and tools for anyone, who faces complex projects and decisions. Our motto is “simple but powerful – demystified and buzzword-free”.
