About This Role
Information, education, and charm is a key part of the Overalls brand and product, and we're ready to invest in it heavily. We're adding a team member who will create and edit copy around financial wellness and financial strategy to be used in product marketing, instagram, emails, and the product itself. You will work with our CPO, who is a former content strategist and copywriter and bring the Overalls voice to life as a recognizable, innovative brand that is rewriting the script for financial protection.
This role would be great for someone who loves words and whimsy, enjoys teaching and organizing information, and who wants to take their content career to the next level and begin managing content operations.
What You'll Do
Generate and own a repository of on-brand content, from headlines and descriptions to long form educational materials or white papers, that can be used throughout the organization. You may write this content yourself or edit work from freelancers or internal team members.
Become fluent in financial wellness, financial planning, and insurance with help from our team and expert network, in order to transform the way it's presented via the Overalls platform.
Participate in product naming and framing.
Own the ongoing evolution of the Overalls voice, in partnership with the rest of the team.
Work with our design team to marry copy and imagery to create a cohesive whole
Edit all copy on the Overalls website and within the product and marketing materials for consistency.
What You'll Need
Demonstrated writing and storytelling skill, and the ability to write in a unique, whimsical, authentic voice.
Interest in being part of a team that values writing and sees it as a key piece of the brand rather than an afterthought.
Comfort or interest in technology and analytics - since we're a startup, we all need to look at data / understand the platform.
Ability to work independently and get things done with minimal direction.
Ability to generate interesting ideas for educational or content marketing pieces.
