Amanda Jones

Social Studies Faculty at The Overlake School

Amanda Jones is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching social studies at the high school level. Currently a High School Social Studies Teacher at The Overlake School since August 2014, Amanda has taught ancient and modern world history, developed various elective courses, and redesigned the 9th grade world history curriculum for broader global perspectives. Previously, Amanda held similar teaching roles at Buckingham Browne & Nichols School and The Governor's Academy, where involvement included committee work and coaching. Early career experience includes work as an Office Assistant at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, contributing to educational outreach programs. Amanda holds a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Art History from Williams College.
