Alan Rex has extensive experience in the field of human resources and people management. Alan has held leadership positions in various organizations, including Overland Footwear Group, Farro Fresh, Urban Homes NZ Ltd, Radius Care, EziBuy, Genesis Energy, Hamilton City Council, Waikato Regional Council, Waipa District Council, and EBRD. Throughout their career, Alan has demonstrated their expertise in leading HR functions, developing and implementing HR initiatives, and coaching and mentoring managers to ensure best practices in human resources. Alan has successfully managed teams and contributed to the development and motivation of workforces in each organization they have worked for.

Alan Rex obtained a Graduate Diploma in HR from The University of Waikato in the years 2005-2007. Prior to that, they attended Hillcrest High from 1982-1984, though the degree and field of study are unknown. Alan also acquired a Certificate in Personnel Practice from the Chartered institute of Personnel and Development. In addition to their formal education, Alan obtained a certification in Finance for Non-Financial Managers from LinkedIn in 2021.
