Overture Center for the Arts
Brad Toberman has a diverse work experience in the arts and education sector. Brad started their career in 1997 as a Technology Coordinator for the Hurley School District. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Theater Teacher for the Shorewood School District. In 2003, they became the Managing Director of the River Arts Center in the Sauk Prairie School District, where they were responsible for overseeing a 500-seat theatre and art gallery/community room. Brad held this position until 2015. In 2008, they joined the Overture Center for the Arts as the Head Technician for the Playhouse, where they operated various technical equipment for both major Broadway shows and small corporate events. In 2014, they became the Technical Director for the Kanopy Dance Company, and in 2018, they became the Master Electrician for the Forward Theater Company. Most recently, they worked as a Retail Store Support for American Girl from September 2020 to August 2021.
Brad Toberman attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Theatre & Drama. In addition to their formal education, Brad has also acquired additional certifications. Brad obtained certification as an Entertainment Electrician from ETCP in December 2014 and became certified as an Ariel Work Platform and Fork Lift Operator from Milwaukee High Lift Inc. in June 2013.
