Lawrence Liu

Lawrence Liu is a seasoned professional in SCADA architecture and management with significant experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Senior SCADA Architect at Ovintiv since July 2022, Lawrence is focused on modernizing SCADA systems utilizing advanced technology and implementing DataOps across platforms. Previously, as a Global Product Line Manager at Weatherford, Lawrence oversaw the CygNet SCADA, Measurement, and IoT Platform. Additionally, roles at Weatherford and Spectra Energy included leading SCADA architecture design and implementation for Oil and Gas customers, and consulting on SCADA development and system migration. Early career experience at Honeywell Process Solutions involved leading the development of a global SCADA software package, while initial IT consulting work at Odfjell ASA included integration of control systems. Lawrence holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Sciences and an MBA/MIS from the University of Houston, as well as educational credentials from Shanghai Maritime University.
