Shane M. Schinagel

Shane M. Schinagel, MS, is an accomplished operations geology consultant with extensive experience in geosteering and well planning across various companies in the oil and gas sector. Since February 2020, Shane has provided expertise at Ovintiv; simultaneously, Shane has worked at Encana Corporation and Newfield Exploration. Prior roles include Operations Geologist and Geoscience Team Lead at Reservoir Group, where Shane mentored junior geologists and maintained high-profile client relationships. Earlier experience includes positions at Marathon Oil Corporation, where Shane contributed to rig site planning and geosteering for the Eagle Ford Asset Team, and completed internships in the exploration and production sectors. Shane holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics from The University of Texas at El Paso.
