Steven Ackroyd is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in corporate development and investment management within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate Development at Vertical Aerospace and the VP of Special Projects at OVO, Ackroyd oversees venture investments, business development, and strategic partnerships. With board roles in multiple organizations, including Indra Renewable Technologies Ltd., Renewable Exchange, and Electron, Ackroyd manages significant investments aimed at advancing innovative technologies in electric vehicles and renewable energy. Previously, Ackroyd held senior positions at Shell Energy Europe Limited and ExxonMobil, where notable contributions included leading M&A activities and managing substantial gas portfolios. Ackroyd holds a First Class MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
