Joni Sims has dedicated their entire career to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, starting as a Registered Nurse and working their way up to Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. Joni has held several positions within the organization over the past 35 years, including Nursing Director of Medical-Surgical, Nursing Manager, and Relief Charge. Joni is a highly respected leader within the organization and is known for their dedication to their patients and staff. Joni is a strong advocate for the nursing profession and has been instrumental in the success of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
Joni Sims holds a Master's Degree from Western Kentucky University in Nursing Administration, which they obtained in 2013. Joni also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Western Kentucky University in Business Administration and Management, General, which they received in 2005. Lastly, they have an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Kentucky Wesleyan College from 1985.
