Mike Hickman's work experience begins in 2004 when they became the Managing Director in India for Progress Software. Mike successfully built a 130-person offshore development center and managed a significant budget. In 2006, they moved on to Symphony Services, where they worked as a Strategic Consultant, providing guidance on aligning IT investments with business objectives. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Consultant on various business optimization and product launch projects. In 2010, they joined The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a Technology Commercialization Manager and later became a Project Manager for the TSA Cyber Testing Program. In 2013, Mike co-founded Interi Systems and served as a Product Manager, leading market research, planning and executing beta programs, and securing corporate sales. From 2015 to 2016, they returned to Tresys Technology as a Director of Marketing & Product Planning and Sales Engineer. Mike then joined Finch Computing in 2016 as a Sr. Product Manager, developing go-to-market strategies and analyzing competitors. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Product Marketing Consultant for Multiple Companies before transitioning to Tresys Technology again in 2018 as a Director of Product Development. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Owl Cyber Defense as the Director of Product Development.

Mike Hickman attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1988, where they studied Computer Engineering. Mike did not obtain a degree during this time. In 2002, Mike obtained a Six Sigma Greenbelt certification from GE. Later, in September 2015, they achieved the Pragmatic Marketing Certified PMC-III certification.
