Christian Arevalo

Christian Arevalo is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, and data security. Currently serving as the Head of Data Security at Oxfam Australia, Christian promotes a culture of data security awareness and implements comprehensive strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements. Previous roles include Lead Software Engineer and Solutions Architect at Oxfam Australia and Solutions Architect at Victoria Legal Aid, where Christian contributed to enhancing user experiences through software applications and cloud solutions. With a strong foundation in programming, Christian has developed significant tools such as the ORBIT referral system and has expertise in a variety of technologies including JavaScript, PHP, and Drupal. Christian holds degrees in Systems Engineering and Network and Telecommunications from Politécnico Grancolombiano and completed a security essentials course at SANS Technology Institute in 2023.
