Desislava Simova

Desislava Simova, MSc, is an experienced Downstream PR&D Scientist at Oxford Biomedica, having held various positions from Scientist II to Scientist IV since July 2018. Responsibilities include process development for the purification of therapeutics, vector purification, and execution of chromatographic purification using ÄKTA systems. Simova has performed high-throughput purification studies, developed novel purification processes, and generated technical documents and presentations. Prior experience includes a Laboratory Technician role supporting lentiviral vector production processes and a summer placement as a Pharmacy Assistant where prescription safety and patient medicine advice were key tasks. Desislava holds an MSc in Drug Delivery from Aston University and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Wolverhampton.
