Eddie Whittingham

Eddie Whittingham is the Founder and Director of Tortoise Studio Ltd, a socially conscious and sustainable design studio based in Oxford, specializing in community-driven projects and social impact. Since January 2023, Eddie has led Tortoise Studio while simultaneously owning and operating Common Ground, a socially-driven cafe and coworking space, which serves specialty coffee and offers free workspace to students and professionals. Eddie's contributions to education include roles as Live Project Coordinator and Design Studio Contributor at Oxford Brookes University, facilitating practical projects for Interior Architecture students, enhancing their learning experience. Previous experience includes positions as an Architectural Designer and Barista at The Missing Bean, multiple managerial roles in the coffee industry, and serving as an Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. Eddie holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture from Oxford Brookes University, completed in 2020.
