Myles McGinley has extensive work experience in various roles within the education and publishing industry. Myles started their career as an Editor at THE CHALKFACE PROJECT LIMITED in 1996, followed by a role as an Editor at OUP from 1997 to 2000. Myles then worked as the Deputy Head of Curriculum at Schoolsnet from 2000 to 2001.
From 2001 to 2019, Myles worked at Pearson, where they held several positions. Myles started as a Senior English Publisher in 2001 and was responsible for developing and implementing the secondary English publishing strategy. Myles then became a Publishing Manager, overseeing secondary English and primary literacy projects. As a Secondary Publishing Director, they managed the publishing strategy for a broader range of subjects. Subsequently, Myles served as the Product Management Director for Maths, Science, and ICT qualifications and resources. Finally, they became the Product Director for Qualifications, where they played a crucial role in product management and development, including market research, publishing, and marketing. Myles also led successful business and stakeholder strategies for academic and vocational curriculum reforms.
In 2019, Myles joined OCR as the Director of Regulation and Business Performance, and Responsible Officer.
Myles McGinley attended The University of Salford from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and History. Prior to that, they attended Saint Dunstan's College in London from 1981 to 1988. However, no degree or field of study is specified for this period.
