Simon Tuohy is a Senior Development Engineer at Oxford Lasers, specializing in research and development with a focus on intellectual property, methodology, full stack development, and database/server administration. Prior to this role, Simon served as an Applications and Development Engineer, engaging in long-term R&D projects and collaborating internationally. Simon's academic background includes post-doctoral research at both the University of Oxford, bridging neuroscience and optical engineering, and developing advanced optical microscopy techniques. Simon completed a PhD in Physics, specializing in Optical Coherence Tomography and Adaptive Optics at the University of Kent, and has contributed to various projects in collaboration with other institutions. Additional experience includes a brief engineering role at Analog Devices. Simon holds multiple degrees in optoelectronics and experimental physics from notable universities, including Queen's University Belfast and University of Galway.
