Michael Ballardo

Michael Ballardo is a highly experienced Senior Field Service Engineer at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since April 2022, where recognition includes the Customer Support Award in 2022. Previous roles include serving as a Subject Matter Expert at SOPHiA GENETICS, and progressing through positions as Field Service Engineer I and II at Illumina, significantly enhancing customer engagement and instrument growth. Additional experience includes molecular technician roles at Verity Laboratory Solutions and Paradigm Diagnostics, as well as earlier positions involving laboratory assistance and vehicle maintenance with the United States Army Reserve. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Genetics, Cell Biology, and Developmental Biology from Arizona State University and an Associate's Degree in Science from Phoenix College.
