Katy C. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in higher education and public information management. Currently serving as the Public Information Officer at Oxford Preparatory Academy Charter Schools since 2023, Katy also holds a position as Adjunct Faculty at UMass Global since 2016. Previously, Katy was the Director of Career Planning and Development at Brandman University from 2015 to 2023, and served as Senior Director of Student Services at the University of Phoenix from 2007 to 2015. Between 2003 and 2007, Katy worked as the Associate Director of Evaluations/Enrollment Services at California State University, Long Beach, where leadership of a 40-member team led to successful process automation and significant improvements in evaluation processes. Katy's educational background includes a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and both a BA in Liberal Studies with a focus on History and a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach.

At Oxford Preparatory Academy (OPA), we believe that all students are unique and gifted individuals. OPA serves its community tuition-free through educating K-8 children across three campuses, 2 elementary schools and 1 middle school. OPA has the first 7-year charter renewal in California, illustrating our high academic performance. With a strong fiscal foundation, OPA’s recent accomplishments have set the foundation for the next phase of growth. OPA is embarking on developing an innovative strategic plan to support this potential growth, with aspirations of expanding its exceptional programs to new areas and opportunities.
