Vimalkumar Muthukumar

Vimalkumar Muthukumar is a seasoned Controls and Systems/Software Engineer with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Since June 2015, Vimalkumar has been employed at PACCAR, focusing on controls engineering for on-highway trucks. Prior to this role, Vimalkumar worked at Caterpillar Inc. from May 2012 to May 2015 as a controls engineer for off-highway vehicles, specifically wheel loaders. Earlier experience includes a position as a Mechatronics Engineer at Servo Tech Inc. from July 2010 to April 2012, where Vimalkumar developed model-based controls for track-type tractors and contributed to the implementation of control features. Additional roles include a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago and various internships. Vimalkumar holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from Crescent Engineering College.
