Kelly Cavanaugh, Ph.D., is a dedicated educator and mental health professional with extensive experience in teaching and therapy. Currently serving as a Mathematics Teacher at Pace Center for Girls, Kelly has previously held teaching roles at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and has substantial experience as a Mental Health Therapist with organizations such as The Mary Welsh Foundation and Flourish Counseling Co. Kelly's background includes a focus on suicide prevention, having coordinated youth programs and provided education on the topic through the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program. Academically, Kelly earned a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Walden University, alongside multiple master's degrees in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy, showcasing a strong foundation in mental health and behavioral science.

Pace Center for Girls provides year-round safe and supportive academic and counseling programs to help girls understand their past and prepare for their future. Pace’s team of counselors and educators provide middle and high school academic services, counseling, life-skills training, career preparation and more, developing individualized approaches based on each girl’s unique strengths, life experiences and needs at no cost. Pace is a supportive community for girls to build healthy relationships, plan for their future and overcome trauma. Girls face challenges in public schools, the juvenile justice system and in accessing mental health care. For girls who require additional support or have experienced trauma, finding the best path forward in these systems can be overwhelming. Pace believes All girls, regardless of their story, deserve support on the road to becoming strong, compassionate and successful women. and when properly supported, all girls have the power to achieve their own vision of success, which leads to positive outcomes for themselves, their families and communities.
