Mayur Pole

Mayur Pole is an experienced researcher with a strong background in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since May 2021, Mayur specializes in surface degradation behavior, shear deformation mechanisms, and tribological performance of metallic glasses and refractory high entropy alloys. Mayur holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of North Texas, where research involved the evaluation of tribological and corrosion behavior of amorphous and refractory alloys, alongside cell culture applications for bio-implants. Prior academic positions include Graduate Research Assistant roles at the University of North Texas and The University of Texas at San Antonio, focusing on high temperature tribological performance and innovative energy conversion techniques using piezoelectric materials under asphalt pavements. Mayur's educational background includes a Master's degree in Advanced Materials Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio and an integrated dual degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
