Michelle Ma

Michelle Ma, MPA, currently serves as the Director of Research Communications at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), leading a team of over 40 members in managing communications across multiple scientific directorates. Michelle's extensive experience includes roles as Chief Communications Officer at The Evergreen State College and Whitman College, where notable achievements included winning CASE awards and launching a new website. Prior to these positions, Michelle held the Director of Marketing, Public Relations & Government Affairs role at Coastline Community College, earning over 45 awards for communication excellence. Earlier career highlights also include marketing positions at Morris Visitor Publications, Contiki Holidays, the California Association of Realtors, and the Long Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Michelle holds a M.P.A. in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Southern Indiana, complemented by a certificate in Organizational Leadership from PNNL.
