During this time, they held two separate positions, one from November 2010 to January 2012, and another from January 2012 to November 2013. Gesche also interned at Munich Re (Group) as part of the Geo Risks Research and Corporate Climate Centre in 2010.
Additionally, Gesche has experience in research and academia. Gesche worked as a Research Assistant at the Institut für Weltwirtschaft, Kiel from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they were a Research Project Manager at the John F. Kennedy Institute at Freie Universität Berlin from 2008 to 2009.
Gesche began their career as an intern in the Economic Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Washington in 2007.
Gesche Weger's education history includes various academic achievements in the field of economics and international economic policy research. In 2004, they enrolled at the University of Regensburg and obtained a Vordiplom in Economic and Business Studies in 2006. Following this, they attended Trinity College Dublin from 2006 to 2007, focusing on Economic and Business Studies. Then, they pursued a Master's degree in Economics at Freie Universität Berlin from 2007 to 2009. Lastly, in 2009, they attended the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and earned an Advanced Studies Certificate in International Economic Policy Research in 2010.
