Jamie Schicho has a diverse work experience in various engineering and research roles. They started their career as a Launch Driver at Norton's Marina in 2014 and later worked as a Laboratory Technician at URI Watershed Watch, where they conducted water sample testing and monitored ponds and rivers. In 2016, Jamie interned at NOAA, focusing on the development and implementation of microwave radar water level sensors. They also worked as an Engineering Intern at RE VISION CONSULTING LLC, specializing in testing and optimizing real-time wave measurement systems. Jamie continued their education at the University of Rhode Island, where they served as a Masters Student from 2018 to 2021. Currently, Jamie is employed as an Ocean Engineer at PacMar Technologies.
Jamie Schicho obtained a Bachelor's degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. They then went on to earn a Master's degree in Ocean Engineering from the same university. Alongside their education, Jamie also has additional certifications including a Launch License (TWIC Worker Card) from the US Coast Guard, Level 1 Sailing Instructor certification from US Sailing, and Life Guarding certification from the American Red Cross.
