Michael Callahan

Michael Callahan is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in various domains, currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at Paradromics Inc. since February 2023, focusing on developing the first therapeutic direct data interface for the brain. As the founder of Rustwerks since October 2022, Michael has also previously held notable positions at companies like Facebook, where work involved low-level flash storage, and Fusion-io, where design and validation of kernel drivers for solid-state drives were key responsibilities. Earlier roles include senior engineering positions at Broadcast International, the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, PTC, and Sculptured Software, with expertise spanning real-time video compression systems, cross-platform software design, and video game development. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Utah, earned between 1989 and 1993.
