Juan Plata is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in aerospace systems and bioengineering. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Paragon Space Development Corporation, Juan coordinates technical content across a team of over 40 engineers and leads critical design reviews. Previously, as Engineering Team Lead, Juan designed subsystems for NASA’s Gateway station, focusing on temperature and humidity control. Prior experience includes roles at Bigelow Aerospace, where Juan contributed to NASA’s NextSTEP Phase 2 and managed teams to develop environmental control systems, alongside a solid academic background in bioengineering with a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
