John Portillo has extensive work experience in the nuclear energy industry. John started their career in 1997 at NLI as a Senior Sales Manager, where they managed sales for numerous nuclear power plants and provided training to site managers. In 2013, they joined AZZ Nuclear | NLI as the Director of Strategic & International Accounts until 2017. John then moved to AZZ Nuclear as a Senior Director of Nuclear Sales Operations, a role they held until 2020. Most recently, John joined Paragon Energy Solutions as the Vice President of Sales Operations in September 2022.
John Portillo completed their education at Texas A&M University. John obtained a Master of Engineering, specializing in Engineering Technical Management, from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their academic achievements, they hold a 1st degree Black Belt in American Karate, which they obtained from Turners Martial Arts. John Portillo also obtained a certification in Master of Engineering Technical Management from Texas A&M University in May 2020.
