Lorie Richardson

Lorie Richardson, MBAHM, RHIA, CCS, has extensive experience in health information management and coding operations, currently serving as the AVP of Abstraction Operations and HIM Strategic Initiatives Implementation Director at Parallon since January 2011. In these roles, Lorie oversees the identification, development, and implementation of complex strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals, while also managing coding performance improvement activities and leading cross-functional teams. With a background that includes positions as HIM Senior Practice Leader, Coding Operations Director, and Coding Manager, Lorie has demonstrated expertise in coding compliance, operational management, and staff training across multiple healthcare facilities. Lorie holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Prior to health information management roles, Lorie gained experience as a veterinary technician and patient care assistant.
