Tory Summey

Tory Summey is a Partner in the Employment and Benefits practice group at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP since November 2019, specializing in employment litigation representing employers in state and federal courts on issues related to Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FLSA, restrictive covenants, and trade secrets. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC from September 2017 to November 2019, focusing on labor and employment litigation, and at Rayburn Cooper & Durham, P.A., where Summey worked as an Associate from September 2013 to September 2017, handling complex commercial litigation. Early legal experience includes summer clerk positions at Rayburn Cooper & Durham, P.A. and Motley Rice, as well as an internship at the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office. Tory Summey holds a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law (2010-2013) and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics from Davidson College (2006-2010).
