Kelly Shami has a diverse work experience in the creative industry. Kelly started as a Freelance Designer at Parkwood Entertainment in 2011 and worked their way up to become the Design Manager. Kelly then moved to NYLON LLC as an Art Director and Designer. Additionally, they interned at Teen Vogue, Nylon Magazine, and Interview Magazine, gaining valuable experience in art and design. In 2018, they founded their own studio called Kelly Shami Studio where they work as an Artist. Kelly also co-founded SHAMI, a jewelry design company. Prior to their career in the creative industry, they worked as a Jewelry Designer at SKF International.
Kelly Shami completed their high school education at Rutherford High School from 2005 to 2009, earning a High School Diploma. Kelly then attended The School of Visual Arts from 2008 onwards in their Pre-College Design Program, specializing in Design & Screen Printing. Kelly further pursued their education at The School of Visual Arts from 2009 to 2013, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
