Alex Melton has a diverse work experience spanning both the private and military sectors. In 2009, they started as a Platoon Commander for C Company in the US Marine Corps, where they provided training on infantry tactics and counter-insurgency operations. Alex then served as the Executive Officer of Headquarters and Support Company, responsible for pre-deployment training and administrative requirements for an 8-month deployment to the Middle East. From 2012 to 2015, they led a task unit specializing in underwater mine neutralization as a Very Shallow Water Task Unit Commander.
In 2017, Alex transitioned to the private sector and joined Parsable as an Implementation Consultant, ensuring successful deployment of their solutions. Alex then advanced to become a Manager of Implementation Consulting, overseeing a team. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of Enterprise Senior Solutions Consultant, where they provided strategic solutions to enterprise clients. As of March 2023, Alex currently holds the position of Director of Professional Services at Parsable.
Alex Melton obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution from San Diego State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. From 2007 to 2008, they attended The American University in Cairo, focusing on Arabic Language and Literature. Later, Alex pursued a Master's Degree in International Relations and National Security Studies at UC San Diego, completing their studies from 2015 to 2016.
