Prior to this role, Elliot served as an Adjunct Professor at San Francisco State University from February 1997 to June 2004, teaching Community Development in the graduate Program of Social Welfare. Elliot also held the position of CEO at UJCC of San Francisco, Marin and the Peninsula from September 1985 to August 1990, overseeing one of the Bay Area's largest nonprofit organizations with over 400 employees. Elliot holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Illinois Chicago.
