Karl Whitney

Karl Whitney is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs, product development, and nonprofit leadership. As the Co-Founder and Co-President of the International FOXP1 Foundation since January 2021, Karl collaborates with other dedicated parents to enhance the lives of individuals with FOXP1 syndrome through community building and research promotion. In the corporate sector, Karl has held significant roles at Precision BioSciences, Inc. since February 2020, notably as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, where responsibilities include leading regulatory strategies for cell and gene therapy programs. Previous positions include Assistant Vice President of Operations at Rho, where Karl provided guidance across various development stages, and Regulatory Program Director at Research Triangle Institute International, overseeing multiple integrated product development programs. Karl's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Duke University and a BA in Physiological Psychology from Yale University.
