Derek Call is an experienced events and marketing professional with a diverse background in managing high-profile events and productions. Currently serving as the Events & Marketing Manager at Start Garden since July 2022, Derek also holds the position of Assistant Producer & Show Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America since March 2015, where responsibilities include managing key aspects of the annual Youth of the Year galas. In addition, Derek has been the Director of Operations & Production at ArtPrize since November 2014, overseeing logistics for 30 annual events. Previous roles include Festival Producer & Senior Manager of Special Events at the American Film Institute, where management of multiple departments and hiring efforts were pivotal. Derek has also worked as an Assistant Seating Coordinator for prestigious events like the Academy Awards and the Emmys, as well as an Assistant Field Director for the Super Bowl. Additional experiences include managing corporate relations at the CineVegas Film Festival and serving as Theatre Operations Assistant Manager at the Sundance Film Festival.
