Olivia Smith is a communications professional with extensive experience in leading digital and traditional communication strategies across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Communications at the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Olivia oversees the implementation of brand identity and website development. Previous roles include Senior Communications Manager at Citizens UK, where Olivia managed a team focused on a significant project aimed at improving wages in London, and Board Trustee at the Participatory City Foundation, which promotes community-led initiatives. Olivia's background also includes serving as Digital Communications Manager for both Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation and Impact on Urban Health, where strategic digital improvements were implemented. In earlier positions, Olivia contributed to marketing strategies and digital content management at Gingerbread and Dukes Education Group, and gained editorial experience as Managing Editor of the Imponderabilia journal at the University of Cambridge, where a team of over 20 students was managed. Olivia holds a MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation

Paul Hamlyn Foundation was established by Paul Hamlyn in 1987. Upon his death in 2001, he left most of his estate to the Foundation, creating one of the largest grant-making foundations in the UK. Our mission is to help people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. We have a particular interest in supporting young people and a strong belief in the importance of the arts. We launched our current UK strategy in June 2015.
