Nick Button-Brown's work experience includes various roles in the video game publishing and entertainment industry. In 2017, they became the Chair of the Board of Directors at Outright Games, a global video game publishing company focused on creating high-quality license-based games for the family entertainment market. Nick invested in Formation Games as an investor in 2022 and became a Board Member at Coherence in 2019. Nick also served as a Strategic Adviser at Payload Studios in 2018. Nick founded The Games Angels in 2021 and became a Board Member at Petaverse Network and an Investor at Magicave in the same year. Nick's involvement in the industry extended to being a member of the BAFTA Video Games Committee & BAFTA Children's Committee in 2020. Additionally, they served as a Founding Trustee at OKRE in 2020 and became an Investor at TruePlayers in 2022.
Nick Button-Brown completed their education in two esteemed institutions. From 1990 to 1994, they attended the University of Oxford, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Mathematics. Following this, from 2002 to 2004, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree at the London Business School, specializing in Business.

Payload Studios
Payload Studios is a British independent games studio, founded by Russ Clarke and Vincent Scheurer, to develop our flagship game, the sandbox construction and combat game, TerraTech. Payload Studios also run the Tentacle Zone stand at games conventions across the UK. The stand offers indie developers an affordable way to show their games with full support from our friendly team and all artwork and equipment provided. The Tentacle Zone has also expanded to include cohabiting workspace in our studio, we currently share space with 4 other talented indie studios. We also host events for the London games community including our diversity focused Game On series. Payload Studios recently announced that Tencent, a leading internet and technology company, has invested a minority stake in Payload. This investment will support the growth of the team and development of future titles with Payload’s signature community-driven model. The studio is based in Farringdon, London.
