Hans Dybkjær has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software development, research, and academia. Hans started their career in 1988 as a ph.d. student at DIKU. From 1991 to 1997, they worked as an Associate Professor at Roskilde University, focusing on the research and development of spoken dialogue systems. Their responsibilities included designing, evaluating, and managing dialogue interactions. In 1997, they joined PDC A/S as a Software Developer and became the Development Leader of the speech group until 2007. In this role, they worked on developing web applications, including analysis, usability design, and coding. Hans also developed integration components and facilitated quality assurance.
Hans Dybkjær completed their high school education at Slagelse Gymnasium from 1977 to 1980, with a focus on mathematics and physics. Hans then pursued further education at DIKU, where they obtained their MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science from 1981 to 1991.
