Cary Wakefield

Cary Wakefield is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership and marketing across various industries. As the Chief Executive Officer of Ovarian Cancer Action since March 2018, Cary has demonstrated a commitment to organizational growth and social impact. In addition to this role, Cary serves as the Non Executive Director and Chair of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee at Peabody, starting in April 2022, and has held several Non Executive Director positions at organizations such as Catalyst Housing Limited and Aldwyck Housing Group. A founding director of On Purpose Group, Cary also previously directed marketing and audience content for the BBC, where responsibilities included managing a significant budget and a large team during a challenging reputational period. With a degree in Business Studies and French from The University of Edinburgh, Cary combines strategic insight with a robust track record in revenue generation and brand development across multiple platforms.
