Ken Yamashita

Ken Yamashita is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in international development and public health. Since January 2017, Ken has been self-employed following a prominent career in the Peace Corps, where Ken has held the position of Acting Associate Director for Global Operations and previously served as Regional Director for the Inter Americas and Pacific regions since October 2014. Prior to this, Ken was the Mission Director for Afghanistan at USAID from June 2011 to October 2014, and before that, served as the Director for Colombia from June 2009 to June 2011. Ken holds a PhD in Public Health with a focus on Population Dynamics from The Johns Hopkins University, where Ken also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Engineering. Ken completed secondary education at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School.
