Kathy Stearman

Kathy Stearman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in security consultancy and law enforcement. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Stygian Vortex Security Consultants since February 2021, Kathy focuses on providing Virtual CISO services and managed security solutions for small to medium businesses. In addition to their consultancy role, Kathy is an author, having published "It's Not About the Gun: Lessons from My Global Career as a Female FBI Agent" in June 2021. Kathy's previous tenure at the Federal Bureau of Investigation included leadership positions as Supervisory Special Agent and Legal Attache, overseeing teams, managing international relations, and ensuring compliance in investigations. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from the University of Kentucky and ongoing studies for a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction Writing at Spalding University.
