Walter Moore has extensive experience in leadership and legal roles at the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) since June 1995, serving as President, Executive Vice President, Vice President, and General Counsel. Prior to joining POST, Walter Moore worked as an Associate at Thoits, Love, Hershberger & McLean from July 1992 to May 1995. Walter Moore earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) between 1989 and 1992, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from UC Santa Barbara from 1984 to 1986.

Our Impact: Since our founding in 1977, POST has protected more than 79,000 acres of permanent open space, farms and parkland in San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. These lands are now part of the National Park system, National Wildlife Refuge system, California State Parks, county and city parks, regional preserves and private farmland. POST takes a science-driven approach in our decisions about land acquisition and stewardship so that every property is appropriately cared for.
