Andrea Dowhower

Andrea Dowhower is an accomplished higher education administrator with extensive experience in student affairs. Currently serving as Vice President for Student Affairs at Penn State University since January 2004, Andrea has previously held positions such as AVP for Student Affairs and Director of Student Affairs Research and Assessment. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Student Affairs Assessment at Ohio State University and Director of Campus Activities and the Campus Center at Susquehanna University. Andrea began a career in student affairs as a Program Advisor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership with a focus on Higher Education from The Ohio State University, an MEd in Counselor Education from Penn State University, and a BA in Social Work from Muhlenberg College.
