Daniel McCurdy

Daniel McCurdy PhD is currently the Associate Director of Development for the College of Engineering at Penn State University, a position held since 2017. Prior to this role, Daniel accumulated extensive experience in wealth management as a Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Manager/Research Analyst at Abundance Wealth Counselors, LLC from 2003 to 2016. Earlier experience includes a summer internship in the Investment Department at Cincinnati Financial Corporation in 2002 and academic roles as a Post-doctoral Fellow/Research Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont from 1996 to 2001, and a Doctoral Student at the University of Illinois from 1990 to 1996, where Daniel earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics. Additional qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Investment Management from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from DePauw University and experience as an Exercise Physiologist at the United States Olympic Training Center.
