Rick Hoover

Rick Hoover serves as the Director of Industry Research Project Development at Penn State University, a position held since 2007, where responsibilities include facilitating access to university research, intellectual property, and resources for small to mid-sized manufacturing companies. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Research & Development at the Materials Research Institute and as President of Cannon Instrument Company. Rick Hoover has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Adjunct Professor at Penn State University. In addition to industry and academic roles, Rick Hoover is a freelance musician, performing as a percussionist across various genres. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Solid State Science, an MS in Computer Science, and a BS in Computer Science, all from Penn State University.
