Michael Blok is a seasoned media and communications professional with extensive experience in sports journalism and public relations. Currently serving as the Head of Media and Public Relations for Penrith Panthers since March 2022 and as Media and Communications Manager for Rugby League Samoa since September 2023, Michael has previously held similar roles at Wests Tigers Rugby League Football Pty Ltd. and worked as a sports journalist for News Corp Australia and FOX SPORTS Australia. Michael's career began in media operations and customer service with the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust and included a reporting position at DMG Radio Australia. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media from Macquarie University, completed in 2012.

Penrith Panthers
The Penrith Panthers are one of 16 rugby league teams within the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. Founded in 1967, the Panthers have won the premiership six times (1991, 2003, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024). The Panthers senior and junior squads, along with rugby league administration employees are based in the Panthers Rugby League Academy. The Academy is a $22 million dollar high performance training and development facility. The Academy was opened in 2017 by the Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, Prime Minister. The Academy consists of two full-size all-weather training fields, two gymnasiums, hot and cold plunge pools, a 61-seat team auditorium, medical rooms, a number of recreational areas for players and staff, as well as administration offices.
