Matthew Smith

Mr. Smith is a Partner in Perella Weinberg Partners’ Advisory business based in London. He focuses on advising clients in the United Kingdom and has experience in advising in a number of industries.

Mr. Smith has more than 20 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in 2018, Mr. Smith was at Barclays from 2010 to 2018, where he was Co-Head of UK Investment Banking, responsible for managing Barclays Investment Banking business in the UK, and was a member of the EMEA Banking Operating Committee. Prior to Barclays, Mr. Smith spent 11 years at Citi where among other roles he was Co-Head of TMT Banking, EMEA. Mr. Smith began his career in law and qualified as a UK solicitor advising corporate clients at Norton Rose.

Mr. Smith earned an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.
